Ed was
born and raised
in Cleveland,
Ohio, where
he attended
catholic Grade
School and St.
Benedictine
Boys High
School. He graduated top of his class and
received a scholarship to the Ohio State
University (OSU) in Columbus Ohio. While
at OSU, he met the love of his life, Pat. After
they both graduated, Ed in Aeronautical
& Astronautical Engineering and Pat in
Business Administration, they married and
moved to California where Ed accepted a job
with North American Aviation, later known
as Rockwell International, on the Apollo
Program.
To continue his education, Ed attended the
University of Southern California (USC) at
night and received a MS degree in Aerospace
Engineering. He moved on to the Space
Shuttle Program and again spent his nights
getting his MBA from Pepperdine University
ED REPIC, District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler,
Orange Coast District
while moving up the management
ranks. Ed spent 3 years on the
lecture circuit, for the American
Management Association, visiting
many European and Asian cities.
Later he taught night engineering
classes at USC and wrote two
books on Engineering Management.
He retired in 1993 from Boeing
Aerospace after 37 years in Space,
his dream from when he was just 5
years old.
Ed joined the Santa Ana Elks in
1993 and started in the chairs in 1994,
becoming Exalter Ruler in 1998-
99. In 1999, he became the District
Hoop Shoot Chairman and then
District Golf Chairman several years
later. In 2004, he took on the Special
Hoop Shoot for the Handicapped
Children and started having 2 yearly
District Golf Tournaments to raise
the necessary monies to support
this program. As of 2009, he was
asked to combine his program with
the Southern California Special
Olympics Association.
Ed served as State Vice President
in 2008-09; District Americanism
Chairman in 2009-10, and in July will
be installed as the District Deputy
Grand Exalted Ruler for the Orange
Coast District.
Besides keeping busy with the Elks,
he yearly helps in Judging Thesis's for
the USC Engineering graduates, writing
articles for several organizations
and is presently serving a Mayoral
appointment to the Anaheim Senior
Citizens Commission, all in between
the days he plays golf.
Ed and Pat, married for 53 years,
have 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 2
great grandchildren. Pat has supported
Ed in his many Elk activities and donates
much of her time arranging group trips
and cruises and the Santa Ana Emblem
Club. They enjoy meeting new Elks,
traveling, community activities, golf
and their very close family. Ed says"
